Closed System Winching

Closed-system winching does away with the traditional steel hook and spring-loaded safety clasp model. These types of hooks often fail, especially during slack conditions or when the load shifts. The safety clasp can’t withstand the strain. Closed system shackles, however, feature a closed screw pin and D-ring. Once the screw pin is in place, a closed link keeps the winch load secure.
