2026 Toyota Jamboree Recap: Why This Was Our Favorite So Far

If you've never attended Toyota Jamboree, put it on your calendar now.

Every year, Toyota owners from all over the country gather for one of the largest Toyota off-road events in America, but 2026 felt different. The trails were packed, the community was stronger than ever, and we had the opportunity to spend several days wheeling, camping, talking with customers, and making memories with fellow Toyota enthusiasts.

From built Toyota Tacomas and Toyota 4Runners to classic Land Cruisers and full-size Toyota Tundras, this year's event showcased everything that makes the Toyota off-road community special.

And honestly? We didn't want it to end.

What Is Toyota Jamboree?

Toyota Jamboree is one of the largest gatherings of Toyota 4x4 enthusiasts in the country, bringing together hundreds of Toyota owners for several days of trail rides, obstacle courses, camping, vendor exhibits, and community events at Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area in Gilmer, Texas. The event draws over 700 Toyota 4x4s from across the United States and gives attendees exclusive access to the entire park for a weekend of wheeling and adventure.

Whether you drive a stock Toyota Tacoma, a fully built 4Runner, a Land Cruiser, or a Tundra, there's a trail and a group for everyone.

What makes the event unique isn't just the wheeling, it's the people.

More Than Just Off-Roading

One of our favorite parts of Toyota Jamboree isn't actually the trails.

It's getting face-to-face with the people who support Backwoods Adventure Mods.

Throughout the weekend, we spent countless hours talking with customers, hearing stories about adventures across the country, checking out vehicle builds, answering questions, and meeting people who have followed our journey for years.

In a world where so much interaction happens online, events like Toyota Jamboree remind us why we love this industry.

There's something special about shaking hands, swapping trail stories, and seeing the products we build being used exactly how they were intended.

A Weekend Packed With Toyotas

One of the coolest parts of the event is simply seeing the incredible variety of Toyota builds.

Everywhere you looked there were unique Toyota Tacomas, highly modified 4Runners, classic Land Cruisers, and capable Toyota Tundras tackling obstacles throughout the park.

Some vehicles were purpose-built rock crawlers. Others were daily-driven overland rigs loaded for adventure. Some were nearly stock and experiencing their first off-road event.

That's what makes Toyota Jamboree so great.

You don't need the biggest build or the most expensive parts to have a good time.

You just need a Toyota and a willingness to hit the trail.

Trail Riding, Obstacles, and Good Times

Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area offers everything from beginner-friendly trails to technical rock sections that challenge even the most capable vehicles.

Throughout the weekend, we watched drivers push their rigs through rocky climbs, technical terrain, mud, and obstacle courses while crowds gathered to cheer them on.

Some of the most memorable moments weren't the clean runs, they were the unexpected ones.

The recoveries. The close calls. The laughs. The moments when an entire crowd stops what they're doing to help someone get through an obstacle.

That's the kind of atmosphere that keeps people coming back year after year.

Why We Keep Coming Back

Backwoods Adventure Mods attends a lot of events throughout the year.

Toyota Jamboree continues to stand out because it feels less like a show and more like a family reunion.

The Toyota community is built around helping each other, sharing knowledge, and encouraging people to get out and use their vehicles.

Whether someone is running one of our bumpers, roof racks, rock sliders, or simply stopping by to introduce themselves, we genuinely enjoy the opportunity to connect with everyone who makes this community what it is.

The event gives us valuable trail time, real-world product feedback, and most importantly, a chance to spend time with the people who support our brand.
