Innovative Closed System Winching

Traditional winching involves a steel hook equipped with a spring-loaded safety clasp. These “open” hooks are apt to fail when the safety clasp gives way under the strain of a slack line or shifts in the load. Closed system winching uses shackles with a closed screw pin and a D-ring. With the screw pin in place, a closed link is created that keeps the winch load secure even if the line goes slack or the load shifts.
